I spotted this little bistro cafe on Instagram when it was still being built and renovated. I followed the renovation with great interest and wasn’t disappointed when I finally got to visit last week. At the centre of the Premier plants of Ledsham garden centre, nestled in amongst the pots and flowers you’ll find lovely food, sweet treats, and really friendly staff.

It was a scorcher of a day and I was absolutely melting, but I still ordered a coffee to start before scouring the brunch menu. I chose the ‘Sprout crumpets’ to eat. This was made up of two crumpets topped with streaky bacon, poached eggs, Cheshire Cheddar, chives and Wirral watercress. It was absolutely delicious and quite a large portion!

Typically though, I still ordered a fresh out of the oven scone with clotted cream and jam. It was lovely to eat it in such nice surroundings, though by this time I was perishing in the heat and regretting not sitting outside where there might have been a breeze.

Having gone on my own, I had promised to take my husband something back for him to eat. I chose an enormous piece of rocky road. This thing was stuffed with all sorts. Everything from Oreos and marshmallows to Lotus biscuits and Maltesers. He scoffed it down and said it was amazing! I wish I’d grabbed myself one.

With an ever changing menu, daily specials, vegan and gluten free options and a great social media presence I’d highly recommend giving this new place a go. Whether with your other half, meeting the girls or going for a coffee on your own, these guys will make you feel welcome. It’s dog friendly too!
