The Blue Bicycle, Neston

My sister took me here this past weekend for brunch. This small, family run coffee shop is one of her standard haunts, yet I’d never been before. Located on the Main Street, with a handy free car park over the road, we sat in the rear of the cafe in their covered courtyard. We arrived just as the afternoon menu was beginning so ordered our drinks and sat to look at the menus.

I went for a warm Brie, bacon and cranberry ciabatta. This was creamy and delicious and is such a great combo. She chose a breakfast bloomer. The bloomer consisted of a full mixed breakfast on a crusty roll with a fried egg on top and I must admit, it looked gorgeous.

It was then time for cake. There is always room for cake 😜 I chose a lemon drizzle and she went for a slice of Victoria sponge. These were homemade and full of flavour and were a great accompaniment to our second round of hot drinks.

All the food was served with a smile, the food came quickly despite the busyness of the cafe, it’s dog friendly and the menu is great. My husband has recently been told he may be gluten intolerant so I definitely noticed that the Blue Bicycle offered gluten free bread and cake alternatives too. I shall definitely be visiting again 🥰
