Right on Marine Point, sits Marino Lounge. A chilled out cafe and bar that serves fabulous food and an amazing menu of gluten free and vegan options. Upon reading the menu my husband was astounded at all the things he could eat and was cross at me for not bringing him earlier 🤣
The menu really is huge, for both people with and without allergies. Part of a small chain including the Otto Lounge in Heswall and the Brasco Lounge in Liverpool, all are dog friendly and as far as I’ve found, have really helpful staff.
Today we sat, dogless and ordered lunch. Steve went for the gluten free Big Lounge Breakfast and when ordering easily switched out any butter for vegan butter and milk for oat milk. Plus, until now, we didn’t know gluten free hash browns were a thing!

I went for a tapas board and could choose three items. I went for the Honey Whipped Feta, with Aleppo pepper, oil and ciabatta. This came highly recommended and was delicious. The Halloumi and sweetcorn fritters with chilli jam were beautiful and were spiced in such a way I felt like I was eating yummy Indian food. I also chose the buttermilk fried chicken with a BBQ dip which is just a classic flavour combination.

It didn’t look like much food when it first came out but by the end I was stuffed and we were already planning our next visit.
The food was delicious, really well priced and we can bring our furry babies too. Win win!
