Three Dollar Bill Pizza, Hoylake

I have wanted to visit Three Dollar Bill for an absolute age and this week I finally got to go. Situated on Market Street in Hoylake we parked up and arrived on what was probably the coldest night of the year so far.

Serving Detroit style pizzas, which are super thick and rectangular, tater tots of every type and southern fried chicken, we were in heaven trying to pick what to feast on. We took an age to pick too, apologies to the very patient staff!

In the end we went for a half and half pizza. Half meat feast, with pepperoni, nduja and jerk ham, and half funghi, with mushrooms, mascarpone and pecorino…. And of course hot honey for drizzling.

Then it was time for the tater tots and chicken. We went for some simple chicken strips with blue cheese sauce for dipping, and wait for it….burrata loaded tots. Tots are amazing on their own, but stick an enormous blob of creamy burrata on top and you’ve got something stunning. Melty and gooey and stunning.

The food was fresh and delicious and the only sad thing is that I didn’t visit sooner! I want to try every variation of pizza and tot please 🤣 What an absolute gem of a place. I will be back for sure!
