This traditional sandstone pub on the Wirral was our choice for lunch this past Sunday. Cosy and inviting, this place is the site of a former windmill but now serves up inviting pub food and real cask ales. Dog friendly throughout and very willing to accommodate Stevens food intolerances, we were ushered through a very very busy pub to our table.

I went for the half roast chicken dinner with all of the trimmings. It was absolutely delicious. The best roast I’ve had in a good while. I can’t stop thinking about it 🤣

Steve went for sirloin steak. He also really enjoyed it despite missing out on the sauce.

We had a lovely meal, the service was excellent and the dogs were happy even though it was pretty noisy in there. The only downside was the trouble we had parking, but I guess it being so busy shows how good it is!

We will definitely be back!
