Positioned on the edge of Delamere Forest, this family friendly venue is a favourite of ours. This time we went for Sunday dinner, without the dogs, so we could sit in the brighter restaurant area. The table we were given was in a lovely spot, despite being by a drafty door.
Two of us went for a traditional roast, one gluten and dairy free, and two went for meals from the regular main menu.

The roasts were lovely, though beef and bacon wouldn’t be my usual roast choices. The veggies were cooked well and I went for an extra Yorkshire pudding which was yum covered in gravy. Steve’s food intolerances we’re catered to easily and happily.

Our other family members ordered pepperoni pizza and Asian style crispy salad, all went down a treat and was fresh and tasty. We enjoyed it so much we went for desserts. My mum went for a crème brûlée and said it was the best she’d ever had. Praise indeed!

As always I went for whichever dessert came with custard. This time this was the bread pudding with rum soaked raisins. It was delicious. The others went for brownies and sticky toffee pudding. it’s always nice to end on something sweet.
Overall a very pleasant meal and we will return in the future I’m sure. Dog friendly, kids menus, and a lovely outdoor area, it might just have to be summer next time 😜
