This year we chose Inglewood Manor to take our mum for a Mothers Day afternoon tea. The Edwardian Manor has an impressive frontage and is in beautiful grounds and luckily we found easy parking. A quick trot through the impressive reception area, complete with roaring fire, led us to a bit more of an old fashioned and dowdy room to actually have our food in. I was initially disappointed but quickly forgot the decor.

We went for the £22 a head regular afternoon tea with unlimited hot drinks. It arrived on a beautiful three tier tray and with a pot of tea in hand I was suitably impressed. The finger sandwiches were lovely with the usual flavours of egg, ham and cheese. We asked for no fish this time. The scones were warm and huge, served with jam and clotted cream. By this time I was pretty full and only managed a few of the little cakes.

The staff were lovely and attentive, and the food was lovely. The room just needs a glow up that’s all. Would I go again? Yes but not in a massive hurry. I adore afternoon tea, lots of places offer it around here. The only problem is that they are all very samey. I’d like one that’s a bit different please. Throw a different flavour finger sandwich my way.
Any recommendations guys?
Looks nice enough. I don’t know where in Cheshire you are but if you can get to Manchester easily then The Library at The Radisson is good. There are various places near Alderley Edge.
