The long established Coppermine Creamery on Chester Road in Whitby, Ellesmere Port, has been on my list to try for a good while now. Open only until early afternoon though, I often missed the opportunity.
But not this time! I purposely got up early to go and enjoy a traditional breakfast here. With no social media presence I could only go on word of mouth but I wasn’t disappointed.
I was greeted by the friendly owner who after showing me the breakfast menu said I could change anything I wanted, so of course it had to be a Full English minus the dreaded baked beans but with as many delicious hash browns as possible. Plus a cup of tea of course. I live on the stuff after all.
It happened to be a lovely day so I chose to sit out front in the sun. Yes it’s on a busy road but who doesn’t enjoy a bit of people watching with their breakfast. I got lots of envious smiles from passers by too.

So, here’s what I got……. Two rashers of bacon, two sausages, one egg, plum tomatoes, two hash browns, two pieces of fried bread and two pieces of toast. So an enormous plate of food, that was absolutely scrummy. All for less than a ten pound note. And I behaved and didn’t take a fabulous looking custard doughnut home with me. I couldn’t quite finish the breakfast so……

This place really is a little local gem. That does brilliant brekkies. Hopefully it’ll be here for another hundred years 🥰
