It began as a lunch date, but once at the Woodside Ferry terminal on the Wirral, we realised most of the food vendors were closed. Forced to eat at the only open stall, Alo Pho, we realised this was actually a good thing, pushing us out of our comfort zone.
Vietnamese street food is not something I’ve tried before but wow I loved it.

I went for prawn summer rolls, fresh and green, and a chicken noodle Pho. The noodle soup was glorious, warming and packed with chicken. My friend chose a prawn mango salad and a chicken curry and enjoyed every bite.
Colourful and vibrant, I can’t wait to try this type of food again. Alo Pho also has a spot in Bromborough or so I am told, so I will aim to visit that spot next time. And get back to Woodside when everything is open 😂
