I first visited this tapas restaurant at Exchange Flags at the end of 2019 with my husband. We thoroughly enjoyed it. This time however I was there with ‘the girls’ which as any woman knows, is a different occasion entirely 😜
We began with cocktails and went from there. The large menu suggests 5 or 6 plates between two is sufficient. So as a group of three we ordered 9 plates of course, 3 each to share.

Our order consisted of the following:
*Crispy fried baby squid with lemon aioli

*Classic beef meatballs in tomato sauce with Parmesan shavings
*Spicy chicken skewers with roasted piquillo peppers and onions
*Field mushrooms with creamy mushroom sauce and homemade crisps

*Jamón Ibérico croquetas
*Cheese and leek croquetas
*Traditional tortilla with aioli

*Patatas Bravas with spiced tomato fritada sauce and aioli
*Sourdough bread with oil and balsamic

The food comes as it’s ready and we enjoyed everything except the tortilla. I think we forgot it comes cold and I’m not a big fan anyway. The croquetas were absolutely delicious and I ate all the squid to myself as the only fish eater. I left the meatballs to the others and we shared everything else.
Patatas Bravas are always a hit, I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad bowl of these and you can’t go wrong with chicken on a skewer can you. The mushrooms were interesting as crisps seemed an unusual accompaniment, but they tasted lovely and went down well with our jug of sangria that had arrived by this stage. Everything was full of flavour and the portions were great.

The staff were lovely too, kept me company when I arrived too early, and kept us topped up with drinks. Service was great and the actual restaurant itself was decorated beautifully inside. Add all that to the tasty tapas and we had a lovely evening. I’d definitely come again 🥰
