Veeno are Sicilian wine makers who serve not only a great selection of wines, but a great selection of foods too. I’ve walked past this place in Chester loads of times but only finally visited with my sister yesterday.

As we were celebrating our birthdays we chose a bottle of Zibibbo white wine to share and went for a Grande Taglieri grazing board…..

With salamis, truffle ham, prosciutto, olives, Parmesan, smoked cheese, focaccia, oil, fig jam, Gorgonzola dip and other nibble bits, we were in heaven. I love eating like this and it was so beautifully presented.

We ordered a little extra bread to help soak up the dips and the wine and sat quite happily grazing with the cathedral and blue skies as a backdrop.

The staff were friendly and the food came really quickly. It was a great start to what turned into a lovely afternoon in town.

We will definitely be coming here again! I can’t believe it’s taken us so long to try it!
