Casa Italia, Liverpool

Casa Italia has been in Liverpool for over 40 years, and honestly, when I stepped it, I could immediately see how popular and genuinely authentic the place was. This pizza and pasta restaurant is known for its huge portions, affordable prices and bustling atmosphere and I can’t believe I’d never been here before.

Between the two of us we ordered the Cannelloni, oven baked meat filled crepes with tomato, mozzarella and bechamel. The Tortellini Italiana, oven baked meat filled pasta with bolognese, bechamel and mozzarella. Plus a full ten inch Colazione pizza, with egg bacon and mushrooms.

The food was fresh, piping hot, and oh so cheesey. We ordered the small versions of the meals and I can’t even imagine how big the large versions are! We ate what we could and had the rest boxed up by the lovely staff. What a meal!

A lovely way to end a food filled day. I’ve been full ever since.
